May NDTC Live Trainings

May Month in Review

Time flies when you’re electing Democrats! With half the year almost gone, we’ve seen an incredible surge of energy and enthusiasm. Candidates, volunteers, activists, and local party  members have all attended NDTC live trainings across the country!

This quarter alone, we’ve had more than 1000 individuals sign up to participate in NDTC live trainings in 14 states. These learners came together to learn from NDTC national trainers about how to strategically develop their plans and get their campaigns off the ground.

Additionally, we also welcomed our newest set of trainers to Chicago for a weekend of fun! Together we dug into NDTC’s mission, practiced excellent facilitation, and learned from each other. Want to meet our trainers? Check out the newest page on our website featuring each of our rockstar coaches!

Further, in Illinois alone, over 100 excited candidates, activists, and local party members joined us for a full weekend bootcamp with NDTC national trainers, surprise guest speakers, and Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor, Juliana Stratton.

Finally, As our live training program continues to grow, we are proud to have the Run for Something as our partners. Together we are bringing training and resources to millennial candidates across the country!

Tennessee Democrats are Fired Up!

To start, NDTC made its first trip to the Volunteer State to hold a training in Spring Hill, Tennessee on May 5th. This training was an exciting opportunity for participants to learn about what it takes to run for office! They don’t call it the Volunteer State for nothing – the excitement and engagement in the room was palpable. Democrats from across the state were stepping up to turn the state blue!

Delaware: The Diamond State Demands Democrats!

Then, on May 12th, over 100 lively Democrats convened in Dover, Delaware to learn the fundamentals of running effective campaigns. Together, we focused in on fundraising, field, digital, and messaging. Delaware was a new state for NDTC and boy, did we have fun!

At this training, NDTC was joined by Senator Carper who fired up the crowd and discussed the importance of electing Democrats down the ballot this November.

We were also joined by our partners over at ActBlue who continue to provide digital fundraising advice and tools to our candidates around the country!

NDTC Trains in its Home State!

Finally, NDTC was thrilled to return to Springfield, Illinois for the second annual #DemocratBootcamp with the Illinois Democratic County Chairs Association! This bootcamp brought together participants from across the state to dive into the necessary tools and skills to run successful campaigns.

This year, we featured 3 unique tracks for participants; One for first time trainers, one for returning learners, and one for local party members. Specifically, we tailor each track to the needs of its members. This allows us to develop curriculum to best serve our learners in Illinois.

Additionally, we were joined by Senator Dick Durbin and many other featured guests! With over 130 people in attendance, this training was one of our most engaged and excited groups to date!

Join a NDTC Live Training in June

Similarly to May, June is sure to be an exciting month for the NDTC. We will be in Georgia, New York, Florida, Washington, California, New Hampshire and Florida again! We can’t wait to see you there!
